KISS TRIBUTE - HOTTER THAN HELL FORCED TO CANCEL IRISH SHOWS

EUROPE'S number one Kiss tribute band Hotter Than Hell have been forced to cancel all Irish gigs for the remainder of June.

Last night band member Marzio Pinzauti, AKA Gene Simmons, was devastated by the news that he cannot fly due to a blood clot in his knee.

Marzio, who lives in Florence (Italy) was told by his doctor that flying before he is passed by a specialist could have potentially fatal results.

Marzio said: "Three years ago I injured by knee in a motorbike accident and recently while I was playing a gig I hurt it again. There is now a problem with both the ligaments and the blood flow.

"I cannot believe that I can't make it to Ireland, I love playing there and I am disappointed to have to let the fans down at such short notice.

"I cannot see my specialist until Friday of next week to be passed for flying and by that time it will be too late."

Marty McStravick, from Belfast, who performs as Paul Stanley in the band added that they were now looking forward to their forthcoming gig in Autumn at Belfast's Empire Music Hall.

He said: "We have had to cancel both our Diamond Rock, Aghohil and Fibber Magees in Dublin gigs due to Marzio's injury. However, we are going to now put all our energies into making our Empire show in Belfast on November 20 the biggest and best Hotter Than Hell gig ever.

"We can only apologise for letting our fans down but hope to see you all again soon."
